How do I set up an encoding ladder in Norsk Studio?
To create an encoding ladder, add a fixed ladder encoder to your pipeline, configure each "rung" with the desired resolution and bitrate, and connect your source to the encoder. The encoder will generate multiple output streams with different quality levels for adaptive bitrate streaming.
What encoding settings can I adjust in Norsk Studio?
You configure resolution, bitrate and bitrate mode, codec (H.264, HEVC, or MPEG-2), frame rate, and keyframe interval per rendition. Encoding runs in software or is offloaded to NVIDIA NVENC or NETINT Quadra hardware, so the same ladder can be tuned for quality or for throughput. Does Norsk Studio use hardware acceleration?
Yes. Encoding and decoding can be offloaded to NVIDIA NVENC or NETINT Quadra, so a single machine handles far more concurrent renditions than software alone — the difference between one server and a rack. Software encoding is always available as the portable fallback, and a workflow can mix the two.
What are the output options in Norsk Studio?
Norsk Studio delivers HLS and DASH (CMAF and Transport Stream), WebRTC (WHEP) and Media over QUIC for sub-second latency, SRT, RTMP, UDP TS, and NDI, plus file and TAMS recording — and dedicated outputs for YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Any number run in parallel from a single encode.
Can I control my workflow in real time?

The source switcher in Norsk Studio allows you to choose between multiple input sources dynamically. Simply add a source switcher component to your pipeline, connect multiple input sources, and set a default source or switch manually as needed.
Does Norsk Studio support live stream monitoring and analytics?
Yes. Inline quality monitoring annotates the stream with black-frame, freeze-frame, and no-reference image-quality metrics, and writes MQA metadata into the stream itself — readable downstream without a separate probe estate or DRM keys. A multiview monitor wall shows every source with audio meters and quality alerts.
Is Norsk Studio compatible with WebRTC for low-latency streaming?
Yes. Norsk Studio offers WebRTC (WHEP) output for sub-second delivery, alongside Media over QUIC for the same latency class — suitable for interactive applications, live events, and remote production. It ingests WebRTC too, via WHIP.
How do I save and export configurations in Norsk Studio?
